  • Construction notes: The 44.7's hull is solid fiberglass with a laminated structural hull liner for load bearing and distribution, eliminating worries of moisture and wet coring. The deck is fiberglass balsa sandwich for rigidity reinforced with unidirectional rovings, weight saving, insulation and soundproofing. The cockpit bench seats comply to IMS Cruising and IRC Rules are fixed to avoid removable lockers penalties. All the bulkheads are bonded 360 degrees to the hull and a deck for structural strength. The ends of all wood floorboards and panels are sealed. The fuel and water tanks are on centerline to improve sea handling and performance. The overall quality of the wood and glasswork below is excellent, reflecting the experience of the boatbuilders in Beneteau's assembly plant in France, where the 44.7s were built exclusively.
